Pianist, vocalist and bandleader Tony Winston, has been a major presence in the Atlanta jazz scene for over a decade. As a soloist, and with the Tony Winston Trio, he has been heard in most all of the jazz venues throughout the city, including Ray’s on the River, Eclipse di Luna, Otto’s, Sambuca Jazz Cafe, Coach and Six and countless others. As a well-respected vocalist, Winston has performed with numerous ensembles and jazz performers throughout the south. He has recorded vocals for radio and television commercials for such clients as GE Capitol, Kroger, Atlanta Classic Cars, and Walt Disney World.Tony recently performed as a vocal soloist with The Atlanta Pops Orchestra. He also has made several guest appearances with "Night Train", a local big band known for its retro-swing style.

Tony's "Mondo Swing Orchestra” was formed in 1999 and quickly attracted the attention of the entertainment market for corporate functions, weddings and parties. As an arranger for his trio and big band, as well as for local artists, Winston is known for the hip, fresh sound he brings to jazz and pop standards. He has also long been admired for his talents as a vocal coach and has mentored several successful singers in the Atlanta area. On Tony Winston’s new CD, “Mondo Swing”, which features many of Atlanta’s prominent musicians, Winston sings and plays his arrangements of favorite jazz standards.
